PUBLIC NOTICE: Location Change for December 10th Board Meeting

Orange Board of Education Public School District The Orange Board of Education has scheduled its next regularly Closed Session meeting on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 to begin at 6:05 p.m. at Orange Preparatory Academy of Inquiry and Innovation (Auditorium) located on 400 Central Avenue, Orange, NJ.

The Public Board Meeting session will begin as soon as the Closed Session ends, which is anticipated to end
between 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The earliest the Public Board Meeting session will begin is 6:45 p.m.

December 5, 2025 - District Dress Down $5 for Fleury Family

Dear Orange Family,

On Thanksgiving Day, a devastating fire in Orange, tragically claimed the lives of a beloved mother and aunt, leaving a local family, and one of our Heywood Avenue scholars facing unimaginable loss during the holiday season.

In response, the District will host a District-Wide Dress Down Day on Friday, December 5, 2025, to show our love, solidarity, and support. 

Dress Down Day Details

Date: Friday, December 5, 2025
Donation Amount: $5
Purpose: All proceeds will go directly to support the family affected by the fire.

Staff may dress down on Friday, December 5, 2025, by making a $5 donation. Contributions will be collected by each school and coordinated through the district’s business administration office to ensure all funds are delivered securely and respectfully to the family.  At the end of the day on December 5th monies can be delivered to the Office of the Superintendent.  

This is an opportunity for our entire school community to come together in compassion and care for one of our own during an incredibly difficult time. Thank you in advance for your generosity, your empathy, and your continued commitment to supporting our school family.
